Very nice hotel, good restaurants, we went to both, and great staff at hotel and restaurants . Room was comfortable with a great hard rock theme. The hotel was clean and right downtown in the middle of everything, very convenient, would stay again in a minute

"Not Bad, But Overbooked w/ Wrong Room"

Just visited Chicago this past weekend and stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel. I've stayed at plenty of hotels downtown Chicago. I must say that it was a disappointment. Upon check-in which was late afternoon. I was greeted by the front desk and it took a moment to get me situated. This led me to believe that something may not have been right with my reservation initially. But I had been squared away and given the keys to my room and told that I would have a great view. Insert the keycard into the slot and I open the room door, slide my luggage in, and I'm looking around like this can't be my room. Call downstairs to the front desk and was told that they had no more rooms that fit what I had booked. Since the room was prepaid for upfront you would've thought that the accommodations would be guaranteed. We were given a tower room with two queen beds and was told it was an upgrade. When it's more than 100 sq ft smaller I believe. We were told that our room could possibly be change tomorrow once others had checked out. The person at the front desk that night seem uninterested in helping so we decided to wait until tomorrow to see what could be done. We booked a platinum king which is a larger room and ended up being assisted with the room changed the next morning. The Hard Rock is in a great location downtown. But it does need some upgrades from the wear and tear at the location. It is located in a good location to Magnificent Mile which is great if your walking and they have a good restaurant attached called Mr. Brown's Lounge.

"Weekend Getaway"

My wife and I went to Chicago for a weekend getaway and stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for our stay. We chose a room on a higher floor that had an awesome view of Michigan Ave(The Magnificent Mile). Everything that needed to be done was within walking distance of our hotel and if it wasn't, it was a cheap cab or uber trip. This is a very uniquely designed hotel and the ambiance is amazing. If you have nothing to do in the evening, this hotel has a nightclub/bar on the lower level of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely return to this hotel.
