"Fun times. Excellent service but expensive"

We took the Odyssey dinner cruise on our anniversary. It was awesome as the weather was perfect and nothing beats watching the Chicago skyline during sunset. The staff went out of their to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone. The price of the cruise at 200 pp, however, is a little high. They advertised 100 but once you add port fees and taxes, it goes to 160 and then you add drinks, lake view upgrade and you are at 200.

My wife and I attended a wedding on the yacht "ODYSSEY"; it was a nice experience, first time on a yacht & all. I've heard stories about being on boats/yachts/ships, no matter how smooth the sailing is, you will get seasick!! Not true, not true at all, as matter of fact, unless you were looking out of the window or on deck, you wouldn't know the yacht was moving. The wedding was great, the reception (especially the food) was awesome, and the staff was very polite. To top it off, there was a firework display at the end of the cruise. I highly recommend while in Chicago, take a cruise on the Odyssey, just might like it!!

It was a very picturesque evening. We did the fireworks dinner cruise. Dinner was good, music on the top deck was really good but... it can get crowded on the top deck as everyone heads up to stake a spot. Not enough seating up on the top deck to enjoy the music. As CDN's, we are not used to smokers being right beside you as you enjoy these types of activities as we had to endure. Overall, good night but would not spend that kind of money on this again.

"Lovely Lake Michigan cruise with dinner, fireworks"

The Odyssey is the "premier cruising vessel" (from their brochure) of the group that offers several options. A dinner & fireworks cruise on the Odyssey is not cheap but it's worth it for a special occasion. We chose the Odyssey because dinner is served at your table by waitstaff - not a buffet as on another ship in their family of companies. Our meal was a 3 course meal - salad (watermelon & shrimp on a bed of lettuce), entree (5 or so choices including a vegetarian option), and dessert. Regular coffee was included; specialty coffees (e.g. cappuccinos) and alcoholic beverages were additional. Everything tasted good and seemed freshly prepared. There was a nice open air observation deck with comfortable furniture (wicker-like outdoor couches) to enjoy the views. The deck, logically, gets crowded close to time for the fireworks, and the best viewing was from the back (stern) of the ship. (We ended up at the bow and the super structure of the ship got in the way of my fireworks pictures - but it was still lovely.) Even on a warm day, considering bringing a jacket/sweater because it can get chilly out on the observation deck. The cruise is three hours, and departs from the south side of Navy Pier.
