Chicago Crime Tours is interesting and entertaining with a great mix of on the bus touring and off the bus experiences. Our guide, Mitch, was fantastic.

I'm sad to write this review because I had been looking forward to this tour for years! I agree with other reviewers, it likely depends on the guide you get. We had the only female tour guide and she was so nice but so NOT engaging. Her story telling skills were awful, I actually fell asleep while she was talking in between sites. On top of that, I found the sites we stopped at for the 2pm tour were pretty boring in themselves, especially for the price paid. The sites definitely needed the entertainment of an interesting tour guide, which we did not have. I feel bad writing this but I don't want anyone else to waste their money like we did. I'd recommend trying a different tour that has more consistency in their reviews.

My wife and I went on the afternoon tour April 15, 2018. After reading the reviews, and seeing all of the positive comments I was not let down at all! John was EXTREMELY entertaining, and made the tour both fun and informative. Seeing the sites and hearing the stories of Chicago’s criminal past was a great way to spend a cold, rainy/snowy afternoon. Great job guys, and I would highly recommend!!!

"Stan O from Chi-Csg-O"

These types of tours are made or broken by the tour guide. Glad to say Stan O was top banana. The X Chicago Cop and G-Man he was upto the task of filling us in with the Mobs activities in the Windy City. From Capone to Dillinger to current actions Stan kept you entertained. Driving the streets in a big bus you get to see the sites (although allot now taken down to make museum in Vegas) You see the biograph Dillinger’s demise, Harry Carey’s bar Frank Nitti’s office and tunnels. You can’t go to Chicago with hearing about the mob, so let Stan O guide you. 5-O to Stan O Tipton

"Terrible Tour"

The bus was nice but they sold seats in the very back that had zero ability to see out. Being on a tour that has limited opportunities to get off and see what the tour guide was talking about gave no opportunity to enjoy. Tour guide provided some good info but if you don’t have the chance to see the architecture or the buildings described zero enjoyment. Also windows were so fogged up I don’t know others could enjoy. Look for another tour. This was a waste of my money

John was great! He was funny and knowledgeable. Very interesting info, especially if you want to know the darker side of Chicago’s history. The bus was comfortable, the stops were cool. We especially enjoyed the theatre where Dillinger was taken down. Really great activity for date night, or group of adult friends.
