"Everyone left disgruntled from waiting over an hour in the cold for a no-show night bus"

I'm currently in Chicago for a business trip and can only do tours in the evening with my sister. So I decided to buy the night bus ticket via Groupon. Yesterday, we arrived at bus stop #11 (as per instructions in the ticket) at 6:35pm. 7:00 came and there was no bus in sight. I called their hotline and got no response. Most of us waited up to 8:15 "in case" the bus was late and does show up. By then, everyone was calling the Big Bus hotline and still got no response. Some of us even called the 3rd party providers from whom we got the tickets to request for refunds and were told that Big Bus should do it. My sister called Big Bus this morning for the refund and the reply she got is that we should get it from Groupon. She told them that we have a transcript of the live chat with Groupon customer service and now they're telling us to send an email with the purchase details. Looks like they want to make things difficult for us and don't want to return our money.

"Saturated Chicago Tourist"

I have ridden several Hop on Hop off tours in the past. Some are great and some are just OK. This one was just OK. I have had several tours in downtown Chicago. I probably shouldn't expect any more than typical Chicago-isms. Same history as other tours. I found myself sometimes wanting the tour guide to stop talking. I was on and off the bus several times and one guide was quite good. One was concerned he wouldn't be able to change buses and take a break and one thought he was funnier than he actually was. He was the one I wish had quit talking. If it is you first time to Chi town it is a great way to overview downtown. If you are a frequent visitor Take tha "L".

All of our tour guides had a lot of personality and gave the tour their own spin. Our kids loved riding on top. We enjoyed the night tour and the extra boat ride in our package deal.
