We’re visiting Chicago this weekend from New York and Wanda was our tour guide- she was an absolute delight! She provided such interesting facts about the city, and you can tell she’s so passionate about where she lives. It really made our trip! And the driver, Miguel, was so helpful when we hopped on and off. Thanks, guys! Love, the 3 ladies from the top deck in the front, Saturday afternoon :-)

We took the Big Bus tour from the Sheraton hotel stop to see the city. We got on the bus and found no heat. We sat on the bottom floor. We were told we could get off and wait for another bus. Explanation given: no cover over the open second floor. We sat shivering with gloves, hat, scarf and coat buttoned up. At on stop, they had us get off and get on a bus with a covered second floor. A little better, but still needed to be bundled up to handle the lack of heat. The second issue we had: getting off and getting back on at a stop in the downtown area. We waited about 35 minutes (were told every 20 mins). There was no sign for the Big Bus stop. The bus came by and didn’t stop at all. I ran after the 4:00 - 4:20 bus and it rushed by. I ran a block or so trying to wave the bus driver down. She didn’t stop. The bus stopped at a red light. I knocked on the door; the lady bus driver opened the door and said she couldn’t let me on because I was not a the phantom bus stop. She was rude and we were both running and very cold. Bottom Line: rude bus driver and quite cold bus.

Very good overview of the downtown city area. It was raining the day we did it so we stayed on the bus the entire time. It took a couple of hours. They point out the interesting sites along the way. We had Lance for the narration and he was fabulous! A lot of humor with the narration! He had everyone laughing as we toured the city. Would definitely recommend this as it gives you a general layout of the city and which places you’d like to see in depth. On a nice day you can jump off and see what you’d like and just hop back on to see more of the city.
