"TOUR GUIDE (Ms. Bea) MADE THIS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE"

I was hesitant about spending $100 for my family of four to tour the city on a bus. We had already done the Seadog cruise and learned a significant amount about the buildings and had driven around much of the city and thought we had seen enough. It was our last day and we were headed back to KC on Friday. I am so glad I spent the money and got Ms. Bea as our tour guide with Ms. Alexis as the driver. They seemed to work very well together as the bus would stop and pick-up people, Ms. Bea would let Alexis know when everyone was seated and it was good to go! Ms. Bea seemed to enjoy her job, thus, she was good at it. This is was I hoped for, but didn't expect when I booked the tour. It was a pleasant surprise! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, very energetic and funny. She made the tour worthwhile. She even remembered people she had seen before on another day or an earlier tour. She seemed to care about the people on the bus and truly enjoyed her job. Thanks Ms. Bea and Alexis for a great last day in Chicago!

"Great Bus Tour on a Beautiful Sunny Day"

Our party of six adults caught the bus early in the afternoon. It's a fun tour, whether you ride it straight through, start to finish like we did, or hop off and on for a snack or to check out one of the interesting attractions along the way. Nonstop it is about a two-hour tour but this could be stretched to last a good part of the day if you want to go that route, and the wait between buses is short. Our tour guide was Luis and he did a wonderful job giving us background information on the history of the city and many architectural points of interest with plenty of local trivia and humor thrown in. I have taken bus tours in other cities and I will say he represented the city of Chicago better than some of those other tour guides. He made Chicago sound very appealing and welcoming whereas some guides will make you not want to visit a city a second time. There were a large number of Spanish speaking folks on our bus and I noticed that there were headphone jacks that appeared to be for a Spanish audio, but none of them seemed to have headphones. Our guide, Luis, was fortunately fluent in Spanish and was able to include them in the narration. If he had not been the guide, that group would not have been able to be properly included in the tour. Great double duty! All in all, the Chicago architectural tour was a wonderful experience and would be fun for anyone who is at all interested in architecture and/or how the city came to be what it is today.

In Chicago for a few days for a conference. We did the two day pass for the Big Bus, and we are so glad we did! Yesterday we did the hop on, hop off and we able to see many areas of the city. Ryan did a great job narrating and our driver David was wonderful! We got off at the Navy Pier and had dinner, and hen caught the first bus out for the night tour. Don't miss the night tour! It was awesome! Lance entertained us and kept us laughing, and Pam, our driver, was great at navigating that bus through the city. We really enjoyed it, and we're looking forward to hopping back on today and also taking the lake tour. I would definitely recommend this tour while you're in Chicago!

Overall, this is a great thing to do to see the city and orientate yourself. We did three buses as its hop on and off and buses are every 7 min which is excellent. However, one of our operators mumbled a bit. The tour guides need to enunciate clearly - mumbling into your microphone is useless and makes you look less credible. Remember, your audience are from all over the world so the clearer you speak, the more enjoyable this will be for everyone. The night tour we did was excellent, I highly recommend seeing Chicago at night all lit up. However, it gets VERY cold at night, so bundle up! It might have been 25 during the day, but at night it was so cold the lady in front of me had to abandon her seat and go down into the covered part of the bus.
