"So disappointed"

We were so excited to experience Chicago and learn about some of the city’s history, however, taking a tour with the Big Bus company wasn’t able to provide either. We were visiting friends who had relocated to the States 8 months ago from London and decided to have a day out with their son exploring the city. We started our day with Ken, who was providing some detail but we couldn’t hear everything he was saying and he spoke very softly. Our friends were not impressed with him as he was missing out some vital and interesting facts. We decided to get off the bus and join another one in order to experience a new guide. In total we experienced 3 of your guides and our experience went from mediocre to down right dreadful! We learnt more from our friends 15 year old that had only lived in the USA for 8 months then we learnt from our final tour guide Kris. Kris is probably the worst tour guide i have ever come across. We didn’t pay money to come on the bus and listen to a guide commentate on those skateboarding on the street or rave about how amazing New York was. We also didn’t pay money to hear him plug his own Instagram and provide life coaching advice. It was such wasted money and it has put us off Big Bus altogether, which is such a shame. We won’t be using the company again in any other city, as we can not guarantee we would actually learn anything about the city we are visiting.

"Shay and Darius were great!!"

We went on the night bus tour with Shay and Darius! They were both excellent. Shay was so funny and had a lot of knowledge of the city. She kept us entertained. There were a few unexpected detours due to blocked roads and she knew the information on alternate routes. She told us when to have our cameras ready. I highly recommend the Big Bus tour with Shay and Darius!!

"Great tour guide Matty"

My wife and I bought a 48 hour 'deluxe' ticket for the hop on hop off bus, which included an hour's night bus tour. The real highlight was the guide Matty, apart from being knowledgeable he was very funny and had the best impression of Trump we have ever heard.

"Tour guide kept saying she was tired"

We rode with ‘Shay’, leaving at 3 pm. We like to take the bus tour every few years, coming in from the suburbs. We like this company and always learn something new - we seek out the very same company in other cities that we visit. This time, we got 2 hours of: she was tired, she was hot, why her voice was wearing out, that she has no life. First time tourists missed a lot of Chicago info that we’ve heard on other of your same tours. Maybe shorter work shifts??
